Restaurant Sense already had a Michelin star in 2011. In May 2025, it moved from the centre of ‘s-Hertogenbosch to the centre of Vught but, naturally, its exclusive dishes – prepared with the best tastebud-stimulating, seasonal ingredients – moved with it. The new location also offers many new possibilities. The fine dining formula has not only been expanded with an elegant, relaxed gastrobar but Sense now also offers an exclusive private dining area, which is ideal for private, intimate and/or unforgettable gatherings!
Come enjoy the intimate experience, delicious dishes, carefully selected wines, amazing cocktails and distinctive mocktails. Each dish is a combination of craft, creativity and respect for nature.

Special occasions demand a special setting. Sense Private Dining ensures an intimate experience with exclusive dishes and undivided attention for you and your company. It is the perfect way to celebrate love, for example, or passing an exam, but is also perfect for holding valuable discussions in peace and quiet with all options required for presentations. Sense is very happy to host various business guests who benefit from this amazing balance between professionalism and culinary experience.
Tip for your visit: experience the Dutch Cuisine philosophy, which focuses on pure, organic and local, seasonal products and vegetables. Allow yourself to be surprised by, for example, a Chef’s Menu, which has a maximum of six courses based on the motto of Patron Cuisinier Dennis Middeldorp: passion, precision and pure tastes. Capitalising on the season, the dishes change monthly, so that no visit ever feels like a repeat.
The Michelin star is not a goal for Middeldorp. He feels it is an acknowledgement that his philosophy works: “When inventing a dish, I want to combine the essence of tastes. Enjoy the taste, colour, oral sensation, the atmosphere in the restaurant – everything must be right.”
