Born and raised in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, I am a person of Brabant through and through. I have left the region a couple of times but have always returned to Brabant quickly. In my spare time, I enjoy going out into the countryside with my dog, Nola. I enjoy good food and drinks and am always looking for the newest hotspots.

I love the diversity and all the beauty that Brabant has to offer, the people and the charm, tranquillity and space and all of the culinary gems. But ‘s-Hertogenbosch’s yellow, red and white flag flies in my heart. Everything can be found there: it is the place to enjoy culinary delights, and the countryside is literally just a stone’s throw away. I now live just outside of ‘s-Hertogenbosch with the beautiful Aa valley as my back garden. It is the place where I love to be most.

My favourites

I love sharing my love for ‘s-Hertogenbosch because there is something for everyone.

  • Experience the city from the water: sail under the city, feel the tranquillity and discover its story and beauty.
  • Take the helm yourself and rent an electric boat to discover the vibes of the city from the water. Naturally, you will have something delicious to eat onboard.
  • Wander through the Bossche Broek nature area and take a good look around every once in a while. This skyline is stunning.
  • Light a candle in St John’s cathedral and take a moment to relax.
  • Stroll by all ‘s-Hertogenbosch’s wonderful wine bars: Wijn bij Stijn, Bij Dirk and my favourite: Aan Tafel bij Fagel, I just know you will fall in live with this spot.
  • Spot the many cool coffee shops between the shops in all of the small alleyways. I’m sure there is one that serves Bossche Bollen.
