The perfectly located Camperplaats Heusden has everything that a motorhomer’s heart could wish for. A lovely quiet spot by the water at Jachthaven de Wiel marina with views of the historic fortified town of Heusden, and which is open all year round. It has 25 motorhome pitches and is equipped with every convenience, such as a sanistation service point, electricity and toilet blocks.

You are almost in the lovely centre of Heusden right from the motorhome site. Discover the impressive town defences or explore the garrison’s narrow alleyways. The Loon and Drunen Dunes National Park, a unique area of shifting sands is a short drive away, and Tilburg, ’s-Hertogenbosch and Efteling theme park are just around the corner. In other words, an overnight stay at Camperplaats Heusden is the perfect base to discover more of North Brabant.

Camperplaats De Landing didn’t get its name by chance, it has a huge glider airfield at its back door. This unique motorhome site between Nistelrode, Heeswijk Dinther and Uden is surrounded by open countryside. The spacious grassy field has space for 25 motorhomes, and each pitch has its own electricity supply. There are no toilet facilities but there is a sanistation service point for fresh water.

Being in the middle of the countryside, Camperplaats De Landing is the perfect starting point for a bike trip or a walk through the nearby woods. If you cycle for another half hour you will come to Heeswijk Dinther where you can visit the impressive Heeswijk Castle. Take a guided tour around the historic stronghold and enjoy a snack in the museum café. The Vorstenbosch Alpaca farm, where you can stroke the alpacas, is closer to Camperplaats De Landing.

Camperplaats Mieke’s Hof in Hoeven has lovely motorhome pitches, a farm shop with its own regional products, monthly food events and cows grazing in the meadow next to your motorhome. Not to mention a sanistation service point, electricity and new toilet facilities. The motorhome pitches are in a quiet setting next to the owners’ farmhouse, surrounded by meadows and woods.

In addition to all these excellent facilities, Mieke’s Hof motorhome site is perfectly located for trips out in the area. There is wonderful walking and cycling in the natural surroundings. A short walk will take you to the imposing Oudenbosch Basilica. The basilica, which is a smaller copy of St. Peter’s in Rome, cannot be missed, as it towers well above the surrounding countryside. Roosendaal and Etten-Leur are also easy to reach with a short drive in the motorhome or by bike. There are plenty of cycling and walking routes which you can follow in and around Etten-Leur which will take you past various Van Gogh monuments where you can discover the countryside that inspired Vincent.

Rest and relax in the greenery around Camperplaats Biest-Houtakker. There are 45 motorhome pitches among the trees which offer plenty of privacy. A toilet and shower block, sanistation service point, electricity and WiFi are of course available at this woodland motorhome site. The site, located on the banks of the Wilhelmina Canal, with the Biest-Houtakker drawbridge on the corner, is the perfect base for a day out.

Camperplaats Biest-Houtakker is just a stone’s throw from the Beekse Bergen where you can spot wild animals on safari. There is also plenty of countryside close by where you can go for a cycle ride or a walk. Tilburg - the monastery capital of Brabant - is also close by, where you can explore the industrial railway zone or stroll through the winding streets too.

History and nature are combined at the Koningshoeven Abbey where La Trappe beer is brewed and served, and you can get there by bike in 20 minutes. You can enjoy a drink and a snack on the spacious terrace after a guided tour.

Camperplaats Biest-Houtakker

Camperplaats Croy is located in the grounds of the beautiful Croy Castle on the estate that bears its name. The motorhome site offers 15 attractive pitches in the middle of the countryside in the Land van de Peel. It has toilet facilities, a sanistation service point, electricity and WiFi throughout the site.

There is excellent cycling in the area, the motorhome site is located on the cycle route network between numbers 61 and 63. Tip: you can follow the Van Gogh cycle route from both intersections. This route will take you past places that were important to Vincent van Gogh, or which have been immortalised in his paintings, such as the Opwetten Watermill near Nuenen.

There is lovely walking here as well as cycling. You can also go in search of several geocache locations in the area. If you prefer a day in town, there’s plenty to experience in Helmond. Go back in time by visiting Helmond Castle or take a look at the futuristic Cube Houses.

Dé Soley in Someren, a camper farm with space for 12 motorhomes, is a small, peaceful motorhome site. Dé Soley offers toilet facilities, a sanistation service point, electricity and a water tap at every pitch. The pitches are spacious and separated from each other by small hedges which ensure some privacy.

Within half an hour’s walk from the motorhome site, you will be in the middle of the Somerense Heide heathland and a bit further on in the Strabrechtse Heide heath. The motorhome site is also the perfect base for visiting Eindhoven. Stroll through the shopping centre or discover the industrial Strijp-S area. If you want a combination of countryside and city, include a visit to the Van Gogh Village Museum in Nuenen. Step in Van Gogh’s footsteps in this interactive museum. In other words, Dé Soley camping farm offers a quiet spot in the countryside, but where the big city is closer than you might think.

Camperplaats de Rucphense Weide is located in the outskirts of Ruchpen, and with 35 motorhome pitches, 23 of which have electricity and a hard base, you will always find a space. Surrounded by an orchard with fruit trees, there is certainly no shortage of greenery and tranquillity all around you. The site has a sanistation service point and a toilet block. You can also book themed packages, such as ‘Oktoberfest,’ or you can attend an asparagus dinner.

The motorhome site is within walking distance of Rucphen, between the towns of Roosendaal and Breda. If you like shopping, you will certainly want to go to the Designer Outlet Roosendaal, but Breda also has plenty to offer.
