This tour takes you along the edges of the Huis ter Heide estate. The estate, approximately 650 hectares in size and managed by the Dutch nature organisation Natuurmonumenten (an organisation for the preservation of nature), consists of mostly woods in the northern section. The southern section, called Loonse Heide (Loon Heather), mainly consists of fens and farmland. Along the way you cross plank bridges and you just might encounter a Scottish Highlander! Estate Huis ter Heide is a gem in the Brabant countryside.
