In 2022, Misset Horeca declared De Huyskamer Gilze to have the best patio of North Brabant. It is an award that the restaurant and bicycle café is rightfully proud of. From Wednesday to Sunday, you can take a seat in the indoor garden room or book a lunch or dinner on the award-winning patio. In that case, a table will automatically be prepared for you inside just in case the weather takes a turn for the worse. So, there is always a spot! Furthermore, you can also reserve part of the patio or garden room for a more intimate lunch, drinks or dinner. If you want to be pampered in comfort rather than always searching for the lowest price, then De Huyskamer is the place for you. It’s a wonderful place if you want to stop off somewhere during your cycling trip for a cup of coffee and a fresh pastry, or if you want to settle down for a lovely extensive lunch or to finish your day with a culinary dinner.

The enthusiastic staff speak English Dutch and German. With a menu in English, many international guests find their way to De Huyskamer. That could be because the focus is genuinely on providing the absolute best guest experience: here, personal service is just as important as the quality of the dishes. Four times a year, De Huyskamer Gilze organises a special afternoon filled with culinary dishes and unique wines: Afternoon Wines. They serve a six-course menu served with matching wines, explained by sommeliers from Bijzondere Wijnen. Moreover, the head chef will be more than happy to tell you about the delicious dishes. And on top of that, you can also go to De Huyskamer for a lovely relaxing lunch, an intimate dinner or an inspiring meeting in the unique private dining room that can accommodate up to 14 people.
