De Paal campsite has been described as the best (children’s) campsite of the year on several occasions and is the perfect holiday destination for children up to 12 years. The child-friendly character is fully reflected in all the activities and amenities in the grounds, meaning children have nothing else to think of except playing.  And when the children are having the time of their lives, you as parents also have a real holiday. De Paal campsite was really thrilled by the reaction of a young boy who, when arriving at the campsite entrance called out to his father “We’re back home!”.

Sustainable and hospitable
Awarded a Green Key and located in Bergeijk, which was recently nominated as Europe’s greenest village, it is the paalcasa that catches the eye at this sustainable campsite. This accommodation was an important reason for a jury from the Dutch motoring association ANWB to honour them with the ‘Campsite with the Best Rental Accommodation’ award. In the words of the jury: "The unique ‘paalcasa’ has an innovative, individual design which offers one hundred percent holiday feeling with every conceivable comfort.” In addition to the paalcasas, the paalcottages, paaltents, hikers huts and paalhuissies are constructed mostly from wood. They vary in size, how insolated they are, whether they are a combination with a tent and their location within the grounds. Most are positioned between the tents and caravans on various camping fields.

Playing, playing, playing
Every camping field has its own mini-playground, but have you seen the indoor playgrounds and the water? You can crawl through the caves, glide down the slides or attack with a water shooter! Outdoors there is the Biebelebontse Paalbergen: an enormous 20,000m² sandy area with plenty of play equipment where you can build the most wonderful dams and sand castles. Not to mention the petting zoo, foam parties, the unique go-along-play-along kids’ theatre, cycle cross and the panna field. In other words: come and play and enjoy a holiday not to be forgotten!
