De Rustende Jager (The Resting Hunter) has been the main stopping-off place for exploring the Loon and Drunen Dunes for over a hundred years. It’s the perfect refuge for many activities, a tasty lunch, a nourishing drink or simply a delicious coffee and cake. You can immerse yourself here in the natural surroundings of one on Brabant’s loveliest spots, and you can be among the heathland and the dunes in just a few minutes. Or you can explore the lovely woodland by bike or on horseback (this is also the right address for a rider’s permit or horse box). De Rustende Jager rents a wide range of bicycles, such as mountain bikes, city bikes and tandems, including electric ones, so everyone can enjoy the unspoilt countryside around the Court Supplier to the village of Biezenmortel…!

Clean and relaxed
After you have worn yourself out on the mountain bike, you can even take a shower here. Then fully freshened up, you can enjoy some treats that will remind you of days gone by. This cyclists’ café is well known in the area for its speciality, the ‘Brabant Brother’ (bread cake). You will find many other ‘classic treats’ on the menu, according to a satisfied guest: “The pea soup and the meat croquettes with brown bread tasted really good after a rigorous walk!

Naturally versatile
The Rustende Jager is surrounded by numerous cycling and walking routes. This means you can easily cycle to Efteling – through the Loon and Drunen Dunes. If it’s something more relaxing you want, stop off at the Sprankenhof biological garden (with its farm shop). Then cycle on to Castle De Strijdhoef, or cool down in the IJzeren Man (Iron Man) recreational lake in Vught. This is also where you will find the inspiring Camp Vught National Monument. Families sometimes choose an adventurous treasure hunt through the Dunes, where they can discover supernatural powers and unravel the secret of this national park. De Rustende Jager offers convivial and carefree cycle packages for families, friends or corporate outings.
