The expansive Kalmthoutse Heide Cross-Border Park is the estate’s backyard. Most guests usually arrive already wearing their hiking shoes. Landgoed Kortenhoeff is also a perfect home base for cyclists and mountain bikers, as evidenced by this 5-star review: “It was a wonderful stay in a peaceful, quiet house. The kitchen was well-equipped for dinners and breakfast, and the house was the cleanest we have ever had. ... We went there on our bicycles and there was a nice dry spot to park them. It was a perfect retreat …” This review was posted by a guest staying in the Voorhuis, the original living area of the farm. B&B Kortenhoeff also offers the modernly furnished Studio De Tuinkamer (The Garden Room) and De (romantic) Bedstee (The (romantic) Box Bed). All three accommodations have a large, private enclosed garden.
A tip for your visit: ask the staff for recommendations in the area. There is lots to see in the area. Consider the cultural-historical splendour of the Markiezenhof in Bergen op Zoom or go for a day of shopping at Designer Outlet Roosendaal. Even more greenery can be found in the Arboretum. And if you are looking for a nice or even a fancy place to eat, the staff will be happy to assist you!
