Discover the tale behind this ‘village secret’
According to local tradition, at one time there was an open-minded fief, deep in the woodland between Leende and Valkenswaard, who lived in total harmony with nature. It was a place where travellers who were lost in the border area could knock on the door for a bite of homemade food prepared with love. A place where anything goes yet nothing is compulsory. And THAT is what remains of this old village secret: an accessible forest café where you are welcomed with open arms and where you will probably stay longer than you expected.
A tip for your visit: enjoy a relaxing time on the large sunny terrace!
Of course, the relaxing will be done on the beautiful sun terrace, completely surrounded by greenery. Whether you come for a bite to eat after a walk in the Leenderbos, a bicycle ride over the heathland or simply for a cup of coffee, Ons Leen opens its arms to a wonderfully diverse target group. On sunny days, the terrace is a wonderful place to relax while the children enjoy themselves in the natural playground. And that is why there are enthusiastic entries such as this one: “Sitting on the terrace is absolutely wonderful.”

Boscafé Ons Leen is also an official Brabant Bicycle Café. In these cafés, cyclists are made to feel especially welcome! You can stop by for a delicious bite to eat or a refreshing drink and make use of practical amenities such as a puncture repair kit, bicycle pump and e-bike charging station.
