Surroundings
Bergeijk is an attractive community with more than 100 km2 of natural countryside. In addition to all this greenery there are plenty of events and cultural activities. The former De Ploeg weaving factory reminds us of the heritage of the architects Gerrit Rietveld and Mien Ruys, while Postel Abbey is well worth a visit. Cycle or walk through one of the nature reserves in the area, or settle down at one of the attractive street cafes in Bergeijk or nearby Eersel. For children there are many play and do farms and playgrounds in the neighbourhood, but there are also larger parks such as Dierenrijk (Animal Kingdom) in Nuenen, the Prehistoric Village in Eindhoven, or Beekse Bergen Safari Park.
