Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide

The pecking of a woodpecker, a whinnying little grebe or the rustling of a fox, in Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide (border park) you are surrounded by the sounds of nature. This park on the Dutch-Belgian border is officially a Quiet Area.

Marked footpaths and cycle routes transport you through a varied landscape of heathlands, sand drifts, forest and fens. You may spot a wheatear or wood lark. The starting point for your visit is De Volksabdij Nature Gate in Ossendrecht. If you would like to see more of West Brabant, combine Grenspark Kalmthoutse Heide with a trip to Bergen op Zoom or a lovely route along the Brabantse Wal.
