- Koningshoeven Abbey
All La Trappe beers are developed and brewed at this abbey, in collaboration with the monks. Only beer that has been brewed within the walls of a Trappist monastery under the supervision and responsibility of monks may bear the name 'Trappist beer'. Part of the proceeds of La Trappe beer sales goes to monasteries in Indonesia and Uganda, which originated from Koningshoeven. The Trappist monks have a strong connection with nature, which can be seen in their innovative and enterprising character. An ingenious water filtering system has been installed, for example. The monks hope to be climate neutral from 2025; a fitting ambition for an order that has traditionally always been able to respond to developments in society. - Landpark Assisië
