The Zonnewende in Sint Michielsgestel is one of Brabant’s most special group stays, and is ideal for large groups, family reunions, schools, and associations. The Zonnewende is a non-profit organisation, meaning you pay a fair price for groups of up to no less than 252. Since the 1950s, the Zonnewende has dedicated itself to providing children and young people a fantastic time in the middle of the countryside, with the following comment suggesting they‘ve achieved just that: “We came here with our school of 230 pupils. We had such fun surrounded by nature, and they really put a lot of thought into sustainability. It’s just amazing!”

Festival site in the woods
The Zonnewende is located on a plot of seven hectares, with a whole range of options for outdoor performances and erecting stages. The theatre and café on the grounds can be run by the guests themselves. There’s also a restaurant, where every breakfast, lunch, or three-course dinner is special, while the varied buffets offer something for everyone. Weather permitting, it’s also possible to use the barbecue area. The wealth of facilities and spacious dormitories – in three modernised wings – offers guests everything they could want: “It’s such a huge, amazing place for a family reunion. The programme is fully customised where needed, and you can do whatever you like where possible.”

Group activities on the A2
The Zonnewende organises a number of group activities, such as climbing walls and abseiling. Its location in central North-Brabant on the A2 motorway between Eindhoven and ’s-Hertogenbosch makes it ideal for a trip to theme park Efteling, Beekse Bergen safari park and various nature reserves, such as the Loonse en Drunense Duinen, the Peel and the Kampina.
However, the wide range of options means you never have to leave the site, as the Zonnewende has everything on site to offer groups of over 30 people all-day fun and wonderful food.
