While walking, become acquainted with the life and work of the Brabant monks and nuns – then and now. Brabant Monastery Trail takes you past around fifty-five monasteries and abbeys in North Brabant in various stages. The total length of the trail is 330 kilometres, but there are also beautiful trails marked out around various monasteries.

Landpark Assisië
For 110 years, Landpark Assisië has been a breeding ground for new developments, particularly in the care of vulnerable members of society. In 1904, the then “Huize Assisië” began providing care for people with intellectual disabilities.

Former Capuchin Monastery Bonaventura / Beukenhof
In 1920, Capuchin friars built the Bonaventura Monastery with the help of the residents of Biezenmortel; it was named after a holy follower of St. Francis.
Giersbergsesteeg
Duke Henry I donated land to monasteries with the intention of cultivating it, sowing seeds, and harvesting crops, thereby contributing to better living conditions.
Former Retreat House De Guldenberg
De Guldenberg was built in 1966 as a retreat house for the Jesuits. It was a continuation of the Loyola retreat house in Vught.

There used to be a seminary on the Sparrendaal estate. Schuettist priests were trained there for their work on the missions. Maartje Duin interviewed several of the priests. You can listen to eight different short stories.
Sparrendaal Estate
Sparrendaal is an estate located southwest of Vught. This estate is part of a chain of estates that also includes Wargashuyse and Jagershagen.
Cemetery of the Missionaries of Scheut
The deceased Missionaries of Scheut are buried in this cemetery.
Kloosterhotel Zin
In 1902, the Brothers of Tilburg purchased Huize Steenwijk at Boxtelseweg 58-60 in Vught to establish a retirement home for elderly and infirm brothers. The house dates back to 1840.
