Taste and experience
Grapes, gooseberries, currants, almonds, peaches, apricots, quinces: as you walk through the garden at Winery & Herbs, you pass one variety after another.  “Rub, smell, taste… and spit it out if you want. That’s the motto here,” says owner Geert Hermans enthusiastically as he plucks a leaf from his wife Myriam’s herb garden. The same philosophy fits perfectly with the wine tastings organized by Winery & Herbs, where guests swirl locally produced wines in their glasses. Do you only think of grapes when you think of wine? Then you’re in for a surprise at Winery & Herbs!  They also make wine here from other fruits, and even from dandelions and hops. Biodiversity and good soil quality are top priorities here. Geert explains: “Since we’ve lived here, we haven’t used a single grain of chemical fertilizer. For example, we enrich the soil with ash from our grapevine prunings, which are burned at the end of the season. That ash contains valuable minerals.”

Meditative Grapevine Maze
A landscape architect brought Geert and Myriam’s vision to life when designing the production and sensory garden at Winery & Herbs, paying close attention to energy, meaning, and symbolism. A maze of grapevines offers visitors a walking meditation and insight into their life’s path. A unique experience. The interplay of lines is inspired by the centuries-old labyrinth in the Gothic cathedral of the French city of Chartres.

Campground and Winery
Camping among the vineyards and herb garden, in a setting rich in nature and cultural history. That’s what you’ll find at Winery & Herbs. The campground offers 25 spacious sites and a lovely terrace where our own wines and local products are served. Guests are free to stroll through the garden and are welcome to help out in the vineyard and herb garden. Planting beans, picking berries, harvesting grapes, pressing wine… there’s always something to do in every season.
