Dreaming of Spain. Dreaming of Spanish music. Not being here for a while... 'Bâtir un chateau en Espagne' is French for 'building castles in the air'. The Katona Twins help you with that. The illustrious Hungarian guitar duo has been coming to Eindhoven for years. A celebration that always stays with you. Now they bring along a violinist: the Belgian Noé Inui. The interaction of two guitars and violin in Sarasate's wildly virtuosic fantasy on themes from Bizet's opera Carmen promises to be a true spectacle.

The interaction of two guitars and violin in Sarasate's wildly virtuosic fantasy on themes from Bizet's opera Carmen promises to be a true spectacle.

The Katona Twins not only share stunning virtuosic technique but also frightening qualities in their ensemble playing. They are not only identical on the outside but Peter and Zoltán know how to put on a great show with their playing and charming stage presence' (The Times). And about Noé Inui: 'A talent destined for a great career' (La Nacion), 'he managed to liberate this masterpiece from the usual clichés and emphasized the glowing melodic and harmonic richness' (Neue Rhein Zeitung about Noé's interpretation of Bruch's violin concerto). The oldest work on the program is the Introduction and Fandango by the 18th-century Italian Boccherini, who migrated to Spain. With Seven Popular Spanish Songs, Manuel de Falla wrote a piece in 1914 that sounds beautiful for any lineup. Albéniz and Granados, also from the early 20th century, blend somewhat more modern sounds into their unmistakably Spanish idiom.
