Ascension Day at the Farmers' Union Museum
It has now become a tradition that on Ascension Day the falconer comes into action at our museum. He brings with him various birds of prey and owls that you can watch from close up and see plenty at work. There will be several demonstrations that afternoon. It is wonderful to watch those birds fly. Some of the tricks the birds do require the cooperation of children from the audience. And before you know it, you are photographed with a large owl on your head.
