Bakkie040
You can drink coffee anywhere. At Bakkie040, your coffee also helps make a difference. This is no ordinary coffee shop. Bakkie040 trains people who have experienced homelessness to become baristas. It is not about charity, but about giving people a genuine opportunity.
Bakkie040 is a coffee bar with a clear social mission. At its locations on Strijp S and the TU/e campus, people who have experienced homelessness are given the opportunity to train as baristas, gain work experience and rebuild a stable foundation for the future.
Visitors come for good coffee, homemade cakes and a simple lunch, while at the same time supporting that mission. Here, it is not only about what is in your cup or on your plate, but also about what hospitality can mean for people and the wider community. Goed Eten becomes a way to create encounters, strengthen connections and open up new opportunities.
