A neo-Gothic sandstone fountain featuring lion heads that spout water and floral motifs. It was erected in 1935 to commemorate the silver jubilee of Mayor Wijnen’s tenure. Mayor Wijnen was executed by the Germans in 1944. In 2006, a replica of the fountain was placed on Burgemeester Ruttenplein for the opening of the ‘Het Kompas’ shopping center.
