This monument is a tribute to all veterans from Asten. It was realized in 2024 as a citizen initiative by the Veterans Foundation Asten with the cooperation of third-year Technasium students from the Varendonck College.
This monument is a tribute to all veterans from Asten. It was realized in 2024 as a citizen initiative by the Veterans Foundation Asten with the cooperation of third-year Technasium students from the Varendonck College. Four rings stacked in a small field of carnations. Each ring represents one of the branches of the armed forces. The carnation stands for respect and appreciation. Prominently displayed is the veteran's logo (the large V) in stainless steel. The plaque on the pillar contains words such as respect and home front. A QR code on a platform plays a poem when scanned
