Speelboerderij den Scherpenberg

The charming Speelboerderij Den Scherpenberg is in the heart of the rural area around Rucphen. It’s a wonderful place to relax amid the natural greenery, while children can burn off all their energy in this play paradise. There’s space for clambering and playing inside and out, and you can keep a watchful eye from the patio. Also perfect for a family, friends or team outing: for example, you can go on an e-chopper tour through the polder landscape. There are also pony rides for children twice daily. And on Friday afternoons, it’s party time with a fun-filled disco between 16:00 and 18:00!

Explore the area on a sustainable e-chopper
With a range of over 100 kilometres, you can explore much of the stunning polder landscape. Bring a bag to enjoy a picnic on the way. Drivers must have a moped or car licence; compulsory helmets are included. Explore the Rucphense Forest and Heath or historic fortified cities such as Willemstad, Steenbergen or Bergen op Zoom in this unique and exciting way. And don’t forget the impressive forts along the Zuiderwaterlinie (South Water Line)! 

Tip for your visit: also the perfect place to play in less favourable weather! Den Scherpenberg guarantees fun for everyone, because besides the fun playground (and animals!) outside, the children’s farm also has a fantastic indoor play paradise. While the children play, adults (who enter free!) can enjoy a ‘farmer’s platter’ with a delicious Trappist beer or an invigorating cup of coffee with a pastry. As you are allowed to pet all the sweet animals at Den Scherpenberg, you cannot bring your own food (except for baby food) due to HACCP standards.
