The Eijsbouts company decided to cast artworks in addition to bells. Artist Theo van Amstel was offered the opportunity to have his horse cast for free, provided that a second copy would be made for Eijsbouts. Since 1968, the statue has stood in the courtyard of Royal Eijsbouts on Driehoekstraat.
