Thirty-five years ago BillyBird Park Hemelrijk started as a swimming lake. It has since grown into a recreation park for all ages, where children, parents, and grandparents can enjoy various themed areas throughout the year. If you fancy a big but not-too-high climbing circuit, visit Ruig. In the Oervallei you might be overcome by gold fever, while in the outdoor playground Kinderland you'll find a real circus tent and more.

Apart from the themed areas, you can also enjoy the roller coaster, climbing mountain Hemelaya, a very large and clean recreational lake, a football field, a special enclosed children's pool and plenty more. Parents and adults can enjoy a tasty snack and drink at the Beach Bar. But perhaps there is too much to do, if this previous visitor is to be believed: “Actually, one day is too short to discover everything!!!!"

New: the SaltoSwing
In the spring of 2021 the theme area Ruig has been expanded with the spectacular SaltoSwing. This big swing spins you around 360 degrees, accommodating a total of four people (two per swing). It’s accessible for both children and adults, and fear not: the chair turns with you, so you won’t be spun upside down.
Membership isn’t expensive
If you plan to visit BillyBird Park Hemelrijk more than once, why not become a member of the park. The membership price will usually pay itself back after two visits.
