Medieval Fair

Summer is almost over and the preHistoric Village is celebrating with a large medieval annual festival on August 24 and 25. For two days, the Eindhoven open-air museum hosts a large annual market in a medieval atmosphere, where market traders offer their wares. The Medieval Annual Fair is for everyone who is curious about a lively spectacle of craftsmen, knights, market men, storytellers and more.

Historical merchandise
You will find something for everyone at the medieval market. The market square of the preHistoric Village is surrounded by wooden stalls where merchants display their wares. The smell of herbs and spices mixes with the aromas of freshly baked bread and roasted meat, while you feast your eyes on special medieval objects. From metal objects to sheepskins and from the finest fabrics to traditional wood carvings. At the potters you will find a wide range of medieval pottery, at the beekeeper you will find delicious honey and at the fabric dealer you will find the finest hand-dyed fabrics. You will also find more traders here and there throughout the museum.

Medieval entertainment
The Medieval Fair is a source of medieval entertainment. Enjoy the playing of musicians, roll on the floor laughing at the street theater, be amazed by the skills of jugglers and, above all, don't be fooled by the jester...
