New Year's meeting 'Friends of Arlenius'

The Friends of Arlenius are holding their New Year's gathering in the café-hall Bij Van Dijk.

The Friends of Arlenius have been around for about three years now. They are trying to raise awareness of Arnoud van Eijndhouts, who was born in Aarle-Rixtel in 1510 and later became an important figure in the Italian literary scene under the name Arlenius.

At the New Year's gathering, plans for 2026 will be discussed, including the launch of a biography of Arlenius. Everyone from Laarbeek and elsewhere is welcome to join the Friends of Arlenius and is therefore welcome to attend the gathering. Two books by Arlenius, from 1544 and 1546, which were purchased by the Friends of Arlenius, will also be on display there.
