Café Wednesday is a series of café sessions at the Van Abbehuis. The opening consists of a sonata, a radio program with visitors, movement exercises recorded and simultaneously livestreamed, a basement rave (or a representation thereof), and a fundraiser.

Café Wednesday consists of a sonata, a radio program with visitors, movement exercises that are recorded and livestreamed simultaneously, a rave in a basement (or a representation thereof), a fundraiser, a murmured continuity. At the invitation of the shows namesake Tom Marioni, interventions take place in the space, becoming relics of action and rituals of continuity disguised as a pause. Simultaneously a rehearsal and a convivial experiment, the bar constitutes presence and absence where institutional adaptations of culture coincide with rules of local production.
