What was once strange, uncomfortable and/or artificial is familiar or even natural today. The classic dreams and challenges of for example the Egyptians inspire contemporary artists to create surprising combinations of objects, film and design that throw a new light on the future. Dreams of an eternal life, a paradise on earth or a nightmare in which the world meets its demise: the Evoluon makes you think. And at a mere five minutes from Eindhoven Airport, the Evoluon is probably the first thing you see when you drive into the city. In any case, it is the first really striking building. You can easily park on the grounds, even though Eindhoven’s ‘flying saucer’ is easy to reach by bus, shared bike or scooter.
