Curious about your family history? Would you like to discover who your ancestors were and where your family came from? Visit the Genealogy Café at Deurne Library and start exploring your roots.

Experienced genealogists from the Dutch Genealogical Association (NGV), Kempen- en Peelland branch, will be happy to help. Whether you're taking your very first steps or have already done extensive research and reached a dead end, you can come along with your questions.

You'll receive practical tips on searching for ancestors online and learn where to find additional information in sources such as land registry records and notarial deeds. If you've already collected lots of information, the researchers can also advise you on genealogy software and ways to present your family history, either online or in a book.

Just getting started? Bring along as much information as possible about your parents and grandparents. Family documents, marriage booklets, memorial cards and other records may also provide valuable clues.

This is a drop-in session, so you may occasionally have to wait. It tends to be busiest at the start and quieter during the second hour.
