Cultural Season Opening in the Castle Gardens of the Barony of Cranendonck Returns After a Successful First Edition
Under its new name, Barony Buzzing (Baronie Bruist), Cultuurcraan presents a delightful late-summer outing for nature and culture lovers on Sunday, September 6, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Visitors can enjoy previews from the three local theatres in Cranendonck. Admission is free.
Theatre Previews
On and around a cozy, small-scale stage in the castle gardens, Theater de Borgh, AK de Smeltkroes, and Cantinetheater will showcase their upcoming programmes through a series of short previews. Visitors can also stroll past various information stands and enjoy refreshments and snacks in the beautiful garden setting.
Preview performances will feature theatre music groups Kwart Voor Vrijdag and Mannen Van Naam, as well as cabaret performer Jules Keeris.
Live Music by Brassta!
Between the theatre previews, visitors can enjoy live music by Brassta! True street musicians at heart, the band has gained experience performing in cities such as Antwerp, Cologne, Prague, and Berlin, while its members proudly hail from the Cranendonck region.

This seven-piece band features brass instruments, accordion, guitar, jaw harp, and drums, delivering a lively mix of musical styles ranging from jazz and ska to blues.

Visitors can enjoy a selection of refreshments, with drinks provided by Cantinetheater and snacks served by De Vette Geit.
The Barony
The Barony of Cranendonck is a historic site located in the municipality of Cranendonck. The castle and its gardens represent an important part of the area's cultural heritage.
Following the success of previous events such as Picnic at the Barony and earlier cultural season openings, the event returns under its new name, Barony Buzzing, hosted by Cultuurcraan, the cultural platform for the region.
The event marks another step towards the realization of Culture Gateway De Baronie (Cultuurpoort De Baronie): a vibrant and creative destination where nature and culture can be experienced and enjoyed by everyone.
