From mid-January to the end of February, Len Creutzburg will be working on new sculptures at T56 in Eindhoven in preparation for his residency at Van Gogh AIR in Zundert, a solo exhibition at Galerie Nasty Alice, and a group exhibition at the Cacaofabriek in Helmond. The spacious space at T56 allows them to work on a larger scale and develop new installations.

In his practice, Creutzburg investigates how we are shaped by our environment, upbringing, and intergenerational transmission. Drawing on his Indo-European family history, rooted in the Japanese occupation of Indonesia, Creutzburg explores how trauma is passed on and how healing and the rewriting of identity become possible.

Creutzburg primarily works with sculpture and installations, sometimes activated by performative elements. The sculptures function as hybrid deconstructions and reconstructions of body and environment, forming a growing network that connects with the space. With skin-like textures, layered forms, and integrated hydraulic systems, a network emerges in which identity is constantly in motion and continues to rewrite itself.
