To what extent does our body inform us how we understand the world around us? And what can we gain from an increased awareness of our own body? In the free Bodily Encounters Tour, art professionals with a disability take you on their trip to the museum. How do you experience art if you are blind or visually impaired? Or deaf? And how do you experience an exhibition from a wheelchair? Follow the tour for free with your smartphone via the Smartify app.
With over 25 multi-sensory tools, including texts in Braille, scent interpretations, tactile replicas and soundscapes, Delinking and Relinking represents the first, fully multi-sensory collection display in the Netherlands. The exhibition makes art accessible to a wide audience, including visually or hearing-impaired visitors and wheelchair users.
