National Park de Biesbosch is a beautiful area to spot Highland cows. One of my favourite places, where you can (almost) always see them, is at the Amalia Hoeve, a monumental Biesbosch farm from 1938. Sometimes they are even standing in the water and you almost bump into them with your boat! The farm’s grounds are free to visit, and offer a beautiful view of the Kwestieus polder landscape.
