Relax while you enjoy the green surroundings. Or follow one of the many mountain bike routes. The cross-border park Kalmthoutse Heide is also known as a hiking Valhalla (it has at least 25 hiking paths!). This park can be accessed at night as well. It gets truly dark here, making the starry sky very visible.
Surroundings
It takes more than just one day to really explore the beautiful and impressive surroundings. There is the Volksabdij museum Wings over Woensdrecht, which provides a great deal of information about WOII and the history of aviation. Or visit unpretentious Bergen op Zoom (including the ancient Markiezenhof), where climbing the Pompejustoren or watchtower in Halsteren is a must. The view is stupendous from this section of the historic West Brabant water line. Back on the terrace, right on the edge of the forest, you can chat while enjoying a cup of coffee with cake or sipping one of the Trappist beers by La Trappe. The children can amuse themselves in the playground or enjoy a pancake, toasted ham and cheese sandwich or one of the thirteen flavours of ice cream!

Brasserie Abdijbos is an official Brabants Fietscafé; a Brabant Bicycle Café. In these bicycle cafés, cyclists are made to feel especially welcome! You can stop by for a delicious bite to eat or a refreshing drink, and make use of facilities such as a repair kit, bicycle pump and e-bike charging station.
