The Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven is a museum for modern and contemporary art, including masterpieces by René Daniëls, Marlene Dumas, El Lissitzky and Pablo Picasso. It's more than a treasure chest filled with beautiful art, though. It's also a laboratory, where you can experiment, try things out, and discover new things. With a free mini-tour, a Special Guests programme, the Children's Art Club, interactive workshops, and a lovely museum café, the Van Abbe Museum is welcoming of many different audiences. Or, as a previous guest put it: "I think that the Van Abbemuseum is the most inspirational place in Eindhoven [...] A feast, even for someone who isn't an art connoisseur, like me!"

Discovery Tour
The Museum has a special programme for children and families. Every Saturday, children learn about art in a playful way in the Children's Art Club. Every third Saturday of the month, the club is expanded to a Family Art Club. The welcoming staff also organise theatre tours, and children can use a DIY booklet to do fun activities during a Discovery Tour through the museum.

Visitor information and accessibility
Groups can book one of three different tours: a tour of the art collection, a tour of the temporary exhibition, and an architectural tour. The Special Guests Programme ensures that people with for example Alzheimer's or Aphasia, people who are blind or visually impaired, and people who are deaf or hearing impaired can also enjoy the art on offer. The Museum is also easily accessible for people in wheelchairs.

Eindhoven
Situated in the centre of the largest city in Brabant, the city centre, and other museums, such as the Philips Museum and the DAF Museum are within walking distance. If you are looking for modern art though, then according to this foreign visitor, there's no better place than the Van Abbe Museum: "I’ve visited many contemporary art museums in the world, yet none of them offers such concepts and contexts as Van Abbe."
