Railway enthusiasts probably don’t need to be told about this grand café, brasserie and restaurant, since EVE is a must-visit for everyone with a love of trains. Located in the historic ‘Polygonal Shed’ and with the authentic former train swing bridge as a terrace, this is also a fine example of how former industrial structures in the Tilburg Railway Zone are being transformed into stylish and unusual contemporary establishments. What’s more, by visiting EVE – which stands for Eten voor Eten (“Eating for Eating”) – you’re contributing to the World Food Programme of the UNHCR, to which a share of the profits is donated.

You think you're in New York or Berlin
The Tilburg Railway Zone is an attraction in itself. Blending the past with contemporary interiors and fittings makes this a fantastic place to relax, meet up, eat and drink. EVE embodies the new Tilburg, where the dynamics of the station square, the old shed with modern interior and the delicious food led a previous guest to conclude: “You’ll feel as if  you’re in a big city like New York or Berlin.” This creative hotspot attracts a broad target group of adults, and the central location also makes it ideal for combining with a visit to attractions such as the Brabant Natuurmuseum, the De Pont contemporary art museum, or even a day out in Tilburg’s shopping district.

For the love of food
Located next to the Central Station, at the impressive EVE you can sample from a seasonal menu, while various food-themed evenings are organised all year round. From 10 in the morning until late in the evening, this is the place to eat, drink and share. By donating a portion of the profits to the World Food Programme, every year at least 100,000 meals are provided to disadvantaged people around the world. That means visiting EVE isn’t just a treat for your taste buds: you’re also doing your bit for the UNHCR aid programme.
