Swedish singer-songwriter Kristian Matsson, better known as The Tallest Man On Earth, is the next artist in Amsterdam Sinfonietta's long New Year's tradition. The Tallest Man On Earth has a talent for silencing a room just with his coarse-grained voice and a guitar. In one evening he plays up to ten guitars, from acoustic to banjo.
Together with him, Amsterdam Sinfonietta will present a program with Swedish folklore, classic Scandinavian composers, a selection from their own repertoire, beautiful songs and covers by Bob Dylan and Sting, among others. Special guest is the New York-based string quartet Brooklyn Rider, with their insatiable appetite for adventure. "Frontman" Colin Jacobsen leads Amsterdam Sinfonietta.
