At Christmas dinner in 2022, Chris hears a heroic family story for the first time: the grand adventure of his great-grand-uncle, Ole Bergström. In the mid-19th century, this gentle, good guy from the Bergström dynasty moved from Gotland to the far north of Scandinavia. Driven by hunger, cold and love, he made a journey full of hardships through the vast forests of Northern Europe. Now, Bas, Chris and Domien follow him, with his diary as their guiding compass.
