Brabant and food have gone together for centuries. People from Brabant are known for their hospitality and love of the good life. What does their feel for hospitality and gastronomy come from? What is it about this hospitality that sets it apart, and what does a good time in Brabant really taste like? You can experience these topics and others throughout December - the month of hospitality - at the RAVANELLO pop-up restaurant. Over the last year, a study into hospitality in Brabant has been completed. Discussions were held with chefs, entrepreneurs, farmers, and other experts in the area of hospitality. The results of this survey have been translated into a dining experience, which you can take part in at a pop-up restaurant that has been specially developed for this occasion at the former tax office on the Gasthuisvelden in Breda. The initiative is a part of the themed year We Are Food, which has taken place across North Brabant - the final month in the themed year is all about hospitality in Brabant. Ralph Geerts from RAVANELLO is the chef behind this theme. For just 18 special evenings, the RAVANELLO team will produce a five-course menu based on facts, fables and interesting things to know that have been compiled from across the province over the past year. This unique pop up restaurant will open on 2 December 2018, and remain open until 22 December 2018.
Reserve a table
This unique Brabant culinary experience costs 75 euros per person. That includes a five-course menu. Additionally, it is possible to order the accompanying drinks package which includes both alcoholic and specially developed non-alcoholic beverages for 25 euros. Tables can be booked from 4 people per table - if you book for fewer than 4 people, you may share a table with other guests. Wouldn't that be fun? Of course we'll make sure you have enough privacy.
