Capriccio Espagnole, a five-part orchestral suite based on Spanish folk songs, is one of Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov's most frequently performed works. Alexander Borodin's second symphony consisting of four movements will be performed as well. In addition, the young talented Dutch pianist Aidan Mikdad is soloist in Sergei Rachmaninov's beautiful second Piano Concerto. Symfonieorkest Eindhoven has managed to secure its own unique place in the Eindhoven musical landscape over the past decades. Most members of the orchestra are (advanced) amateurs, some have received professional musical training. The musicians come from the wide surroundings of Eindhoven and beyond. Projects regularly include music companies and choirs from the region. Since 2017, British conductor Quentin Clare has been the orchestra's permanent maestro.
