Golden Palace has been making magical-physical theater about the absurd tragedy of life for more than 20 years and, according to de Volkskrant, the company does so “razor-sharp, humorous and with the eye of an excellent anthropologist”. This season Jessie L'Herminez makes a performance at Golden Palace as a guest director. Jessie is a talented theater maker who graduated from the Directing Course of the ATD in Amsterdam in 2019. Since then she has made a name for herself with performances in a comic-grotesque physical performance style. Request number will be played by Lisa and Marie Groothof.
LISA AND MARIE GROOTHOF
The daughters of actress Leny Breederveld and actor René Groothof both studied at the Mime Course of the Academy for Theater and Dance in Amsterdam. Marie founded the Schwalbe mime company with her graduating class and also worked with Moniek Merkx, Noël Fischer, Jetse Batelaan, Jakop Ahlbom and Boogaerdt/van der Schoot. Lisa has appeared with Golden Palace, Maas, her own company De Leedbewachters and plays in the action film theater hit Knock-Out by Jakop Ahlbom Company.
