Based on the epic novel of the same title by Miguel de Cervantes, Don Quixote tells the adventures of the eccentric nobleman Don Quixote and his loyal servant Sancho Panza, who try to bring together a high-spirited young couple, Kitri and Basilio. This energetic 19th-century ballet is enthusiastically performed to the lively score by Ludwig Minkus in which the soloists of The Royal Ballet can demonstrate their virtuosity. Created a decade ago for The Royal Ballet, Carlos Acosta's vibrant production, featuring Tim Hatley's characterful designs, brings to life the glow and romance of Cervantes' classic novel.
