Wow! The Loon and Drunen Dunes are so beautiful. In the summer you can imagine you are really in the (Brabant) Sahara. Stroll from the Bosch & Duin country park in Udenhout along a paved path towards the 180 degree viewing point. You’ll get wonderful views from here across the golden-yellow expanse of sand. The paved path makes this route suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.
If you prefer to go deer-spotting, get up early and start your walk from the car park opposite the Galgenwiel restaurant in Waalwijk. From there you can walk across an attractive wooden bridge into the Plantoon country park. This lovely woodland is full of wild life, with plenty of shade, magnificent avenues and meadows. Perfectly suitable for a walk on a summer day when it’s a bit hot.
